What does it mean when a food product says it has no sugar, but sugar is listed on the nutrition label?
Saturday, December 26th, 2009Meisha H asked:
Usually when I find food that claims that it is “sugar free,” I look on the nutrition label and find that it does have sugar in it. However, sugar (fructose, dextrose, glucose, corn syrup…etc) isnt listed in the ingredients. Does thIs mean the sugar on the nutrition label is reffering to natural sugar or added (processed) sugar?

Is there any food that contains all the nutrition you need?
Saturday, December 26th, 2009melbolt65 asked:
is there any food out there that could be the only food you ever eat and would provide everything you need. for example, special k protein plus appears to have a good amount of all the vitamins, high iron, high protein, high fiber, etc. Is this type of food self contained complete nutrition in every area? are there any others if so?

what should I look for when inspecting food nutrition labels?
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009In the United States, why isn’t alcohol required to have nutrition facts?
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009trer asked:
Every food you buy (except for produce) is required to have a nutrition facts label on the packaging. I’ve never seen soda, juice, milk, etc. without that label. So why is it that alcoholic beverages don’t have nutrition labels on them? (at least to tell you how many calories and all that?)

I like to cook high-fat meats such as sausage on my George Foreman grill because it seems to get rid of so much fat. I am interested in finding out just how well my little grill works! I can see the fat that drains out, but I can’t seem to find any solid numbers! Where can I find nutrition information for food cooked on a George Foreman grill?

Website that lists nutrition and ingredient information ?

I’m looking for a site that I can look up the ingredient lists and nutrition information of major food brands. I know that some manufacturers provide this information on their websites individually but I was wondering if there was a more comprehensive site for this sort of information.
I’m looking for specific foods manufacured and distributed by Major companies.
