Natural Skincare, natural skin care in the UK – Why It’s So Important

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012
Natural skin care is one of the many things you can do to keep your life, your body and the environment free from artificial, chemically-based ingredients, some of which may actually be toxic. All natural skin care, sometimes known as organic skin care is a great way to keep your complexion in top condition. Here’s some information about natural beauty products that might be useful to women (and savvy men) in the UK.

It’s All About the Ingredients

Natural skin care products are formulated to be as luxurious some of the most popular “mainstream” brands, but express a holistic philosophy that’s reflected in the ingredients used and the manufacturing process. Often crafted in small batches, the best natural skincare products emphasize the skin’s health and vibrancy without sacrificing effectiveness. Also, natural organic skincare often avoids the use of harsh, harmful or ingredients like artificial fragrance, artificial color, mineral oil, PEGs, silicone, ethoxylates, glycols and parabens. Natural skincare formulations should avoid even some natural substances that might prove to irritate skin, such as citrus extracts. Allergy issues are important too, so these products need to be free of ingredients like peanut oil or other nut-based oils. If you take the time to read the label, you’re likely to find that a natural skin care product isn’t totally free of synthetic ingredients. These ingredients are often required to assure the freshness and shelf life of a product. The best natural skin care products are carefully crafted blends that use sound scientific formulations and practices to deliver pure and long-lasting products. Here are a few examples:

Instead using of silicone to provide “slip” and a smooth texture to the product, organic skin care might substitute a natural substance like olive oil or even exotic natural oils like jojoba, kukui or elipe, or kokum or mango butter.

Organic beauty products might use natural witch hazel and plant extracts and instead of detergents.

Natural beauty skin care products are often rich in antioxidants that help counter the detrimental effects of free radicals. Free radicals are formed when oxygen interacts with other substances, causing a destructive chain reaction that kills or damages cells. Antioxidants intervene in the chain reaction and halt its progress. Ingredients like olive oil, olive leaf and white tea are powerful antioxidants, as are herbs like aloe vera, ginkgo and grape seed.

Some Alarming Numbers

It’s estimated that many women use up to 12 products per day on their skin. These products can contain up to 177 different chemicals and substances. It’s no wonder that so many women suffer from irritated skin! Women who use all natural skin care products, however, often find that irritated skin is calmed, which in turn prevents the irritation from escalating into inflammation that can lead to serious problems like skin cancer. Why not try some natural skin care products? You’re sure to love the results, along with growing numbers of women in the UK.

Are Your Skincare Products Killing You?

Monday, May 14th, 2012
The skincare industry is a huge industry, worth billions of dollars, and one of the most profitable industries in the world. So you think they’d be producing highly effective skincare products that did what they say they do, totally safely. After all, who wants to be smearing something on their face that isn’t healthy, and may be downright dangerous?

Not me you say, despite the fact that this is probably what you’re doing right now if you’re using one of the many mainstream skincare products on your face. After all, a large percentage of the population, particularly women of course, is aging and is concerned about skin health and the appearance of aging skin and everything that goes with that, including wrinkles and lines around our eyes, bags, spots and any one of the other various afflictions that is a result of the aging process on our skin. We have to do something about that, don’t we?

And of course our skin is porous, and so much of what we put on it ends up inside our bodies, just as if we had eaten it. So if smearing a skincare product on our face is akin to eating it, are the mainstream skincare products safe to eat?

What exactly are these skin care companies putting in all those creams and cleansers and moisturizers and all those other skincare products out there that we’re putting on our skin? Well lets have a look at just a few of the ingredients that are found in some or most of the most common anti aging products on the shelves for us to choose from.

Parabens. These are used generally as a preservative in our skin care products, and studies have suggested that they can cause cancer.

Triclosan. Used in weed killers. Classified by the EPA as a probably human carcinogen.

“Fragrances” which can refer in general terms to one or more of thousands of various chemicals, some of which have been shown to cause depression and hyperactivity and can affect our nervous system. And worse. Many can contain Toluene, made from petroleum or coal tar with links to anemia and other effects on the body.

And that’s just 3, there’s a stack more chemical products contained in your average mainstream skincare products, some quite nasty. If you don’t believe me just Google them or check them on Wikipedia.

So now you don’t want to use skincare products any more? Well there is an alternative of course. That’s high quality skincare products made from all natural ingredients that are known to be safe enough to eat, and to smear on our skin. Effective, and not likely to make us regret the fact that we’ve used them.

We just have to be sure we make some informed choices when we make our next purchase of a skincare or antiaging product.

How can you know which are the best and how to find a scientific system skincare line that is right for your skin? Do some research and you will find that there are some products that can give you the results that you are after.

If you are looking for products that are the best natural skincare for aging skin, there are some ingredients that you should be looking for specifically in these products. They should always be diluted with carrier oils to dilute the strength.

There is a lot of information online that will help you to determine which products are the best natural skincare products for your particular needs. When you do your research, look for information that is not selling a product and then use that information to determine which scientific system skincare products make use of these ingredients. No matter what kind of skincare problem you have, you will find the best natural skincare products available to help your skin. Acne, dry skin, sensitive skin and aging skin are all problems that must be dealt with in different ways. There are different ingredients that should be used for each of these problems and you will have to do the research to make sure that you are using the right ones.

Don’t forget that one of the best natural skincare regimens that you can do for your skin is to make sure that you are eating a healthy diet and getting plenty of water every day. You can see some great results in your overall health and your skin if you follow a healthy diet and exercise every day. The skin is an organ of the body and needs to be cared for in the same way as every other organ. You have to feed your body well so that it can function properly. That is as true for your skin as every other function in your body.

To find the best natural skincare for your type of skin, you will have to educate yourself on the ingredients that you should be using on your skin and the kind of diet that you should be following. Discover the Best Anti Aging Vitamins That Will Change Your Life

Saturday, May 12th, 2012
Let’s face it. No matter who you are or where you’re from, the concern with aging worries us, even if it’s just a little. Our body’s efficiency starts declining as we grow older, because its ability to process the required nutrients and regenerate specific cells decreases over time. Our body’s defense against its own free radicals starts breaking down, and thus we become more prone to chronic, age-related illnesses. So what’s our best hope against aging? Simple. Anti aging vitamins.

You may find yourself asking, just what are anti aging vitamins? Unwittingly you might have consumed them at some part of your life, and you might even still be consuming them right now, only you haven’t been aware of just what they do for you and the benefits that they bring with regards to anti aging. Truth is, there are many vitamins that may help delay the inevitable. Aging can be prevented by the consumption of these vitamins. Let’s discover which of these vitamins can help in our ever continuous fight against aging.

If you’re someone who is concerned about aging and are somewhat knowledgeable about the subject matter, you would know that antioxidants help prevent damage caused by free radicals in the body. The most common antioxidants found in the skin happens to be vitamin C. Indeed, this particular vitamin does help in turning back the clock. A study in 2007, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, stated that people with vitamin C-rich diets had fewer signs of aging compared to those without. People who consumed more vitamin C in their diets had fewer wrinkles and dry skin related to age. This is because vitamin C smoothes fine line and wrinkles by helping in the production of collagen in the skin. Collagen production is adversely affected by free radicals in the body, because they attack fats, DNA, and protein; which is what collagen essentially is, a protein. Vitamin C has the ability to defend the body against these free radicals, and thus prevents the adverse effects on collagen production. As you probably already know, vitamin C can be found in orange and yellow fruits and vegetables. But this vitamin can also be found in animal products such as eggs and meat.

The next important vitamin comes in a group. B vitamins are eight vitamins that are essential for life. This is because these vitamins are required for body functions on the cellular level, such as digestion, the production of energy, and transmissions of nerve messages to the system. B vitamins act as enzyme co-factors, which aid enzymes in carrying out molecular conversions in the body. These vitamins help in converting carbohydrates into glucose which in turn fuels the body. So in short, B vitamins ensure the smooth operation of our body by aiding metabolism of proteins and fats, and in turn the body’s nervous system. These vitamins also help in tolerating stress, and this makes them essential anti aging vitamins as stress is the leading cause in premature aging. B vitamins can be found in foods such as milk, liver, rice, meats, and leafy green vegetables.

The last and probably the most important vitamin in the fight against aging is vitamin E. This is because amongst all the antioxidants, vitamin E is considered to be the most important, as it is provides the best form of cell membrane protection, and helps in the prevention of enzyme damage associated with the breakdown of cell membranes. Also, in recent studies, vitamin E has been shown to aid in inactivating free radicals, thus lessening their ability to cause damage to the body. This particular vitamin indeed does play a very crucial role in many of our body’s functions, as it keeps our arteries and heart healthy. Vitamin E can be found in a number of sources, but mostly in vegetable oils such as sunflower, wheat germ, and olive oil.

These are only 3 vitamins that can help prevent the signs of aging, but there are many other vitamins and supplements out there that may aid in the fight against aging. Anti aging vitamins can help change your life, so if you want to turn back the clock, consider the consumption of such vitamins.

Acne Skincare Tips You Can Use Now

Saturday, May 12th, 2012
If you have acne, you’re not alone. Virtually everyone has gotten a pimple at one time or another, and many people are plagued with chronic and consistent breakouts that just don’t seem to clear up. Applying acne skincare tips and techniques can help anyone facing (no pun intended) this difficult condition, as often just a few minor changes to your skincare routine can go a long way toward helping your skin to be as healthy and blemish free as it can be. A lot of acne skincare is the same as skincare for everyone else, but sometimes a few adjustments need to be made.

For one thing it’s important that acne skincare means being gentle with your face. People with acne often get very angry and frustrated at their breakouts and have a tendency to scrub their face very roughly, as if they can scrub the pimples right off their skin. But in reality the harsher you are with your face, the more oil your body is going to produce in defense of that. Skin’s oil works to protect and nourish it and when you attack your skin by being rough and harsh with it, you’re actually doing more harm than good. Being gentle with your routine is important for all aspects of acne skincare.

Acne is caused when dirt, oil and bacteria get caught in pores and hair follicles and a small covering forms over this, growing into what we call a pimple. However everyone has dirt and oil on their face but not everyone gets acne. That covering of skin is what causes those dreaded pimples, so cleaning and clearing up oil is only part of acne skincare. Exfoliating is very important as this will help to remove that covering of skin that won’t allow the oil and dirt to be washed away. Most people that have a good acne skincare regimen exfoliate every few days, or at least twice per week. You don’t want to overdo it with this step either as this might mean dry skin and leaving skin raw and exposed to the elements. But exfoliating is a very important part of taking care of one’s acne and so should be worked into one’s routine regularly.

Using acne skincare products can be very beneficial for breakouts as they are often designed to dry up this excess oil and wash away the dirt and bacteria as well. However it’s not a good idea to use these products on any other part of the face; acne skincare are usually very strong and don’t actually prevent breakouts. Using them on the sensitive areas of the cheeks and neck when you don’t have pimples there can dry up that skin and cause it to be red and irritated. Remember that acne skincare applies to acne only and not to other, more sensitive areas of the face.

If you apply these acne skincare tips regularly you’re sure to see far fewer breakouts and much healthier skin overall.

Why Aren’t You Using Men’s Skincare?

Saturday, May 12th, 2012

With so many anti-aging skincare products on the market for women, why do companies seem reluctant to offer men anti-aging skincare? Certainly there are a few products on the market, but many are comprised of nothing more than perfumes, alcohols, and chemical fillers. Today we will look at the men’s skincare products that typically line the shelves and discuss what men should really be looking for when choosing a product to combat the signs of aging.

Certainly women are not the only people who begin to show signs of aging, but sometimes it seems that the market is flooded with anti-aging products that are geared only toward the female sex. The few products that are available for men are often pricey and offer little lasting result.

The most important factor to look for in a men’s skincare product is that it is an all natural product developed specifically for men. The reason you should look for an all natural product is that the body can only recognize and use minerals and proteins that it would come across naturally. Chemicals and other fillers are simply expelled as waste, though a large percentage of them travel through your bloodstream first after being absorbed by the skin. This is one thing that many consumers do not realize when putting chemical laden products onto their skin. As soon as you let something be absorbed into your skin, it is the same as if you had eaten it, which means that if your skincare product contains something you would not consider safe to eat, it is also not safe to rub onto your skin. Chemicals in these products have been linked to a host of illnesses and conditions.

Natural minerals and proteins are recognized and used by the skin to moisturize and to combat roughness, lines, and wrinkles. Formulas made specifically for men are designed to treat skin differently than formulas for women do. Men are hormonally different than women, and tend to have rougher skin and blemishes. If companies understood that males want to be healthy as much as their female counterparts do, then they would be rushing to offer men anti-aging skincare products.

Newer skincare products for men are able to actually regrow collagen and elastin, as well as to help develop new skin cells. With breakthrough ingredients just hitting the market such as CynergyTK and Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10, skincare for men is starting to reach new heights. These proteins and antioxidants are being found to work as the closest thing to miracle cures that medicine has found thus far to help combat the signs of aging. Armed with this knowledge, it is time for men everywhere to stop accepting the limited offerings at their local pharmacies and start looking for a real and effective approach to men’s skincare.

Do You Need Hypoallergenic Skincare?

Friday, May 11th, 2012
When you are searching for skincare products, there are many for you to choose from. Some of the products that you will find will smell wonderful and feel smooth and silky on your skin, but there are some things that you should know about these products if you are having problems with your skin.

Many of the products on the market that are full of fragrances and chemicals will cause you more damage than they will help. A true hypoallergenic skincare product will not contain the ingredients that are responsible for the problems that you may be facing with your skin. Fragrances are chemicals that will cause those people with sensitive skin to have problems. The skincare product may smell great, but your fragrance should be restricted to the perfumes and colognes that you wear separate from your skincare products.

Paraben is an ingredient that is commonly used in skin care products that is linked to hormonal changes in the body as well as an increased risk of breast cancer. While the evidence is mounting against this ingredient skin care manufacturers are continuing to use it in their products. There are paraben-free skincare products that you can use to eliminate this ingredient from your skincare treatment.

There is no product that is available on the market that can be completely natural in the sense that there is no processing of the ingredients. It is necessary to process some of the natural plant based ingredients so that they can be used in skincare products. However, you should look for products that are as close to the natural ingredients as you can find. Hypoallergenic skincare should be as pure as possible for the best possible results.

Taking care of your skin is one of the most important parts of your health. The skin is an organ and there are many things that should be included in your skincare routine that do not include the products that you use directly on the skin. Eat a healthy diet and make sure that you drink plenty of water every day to keep your skin healthy and clear. This will help you in your quest for clear smooth skin.

It is also important that you do some research on the products that you are planning to use. Find information on skincare and the best ingredients that you should use. There is plenty of information available on the best hypoallergenic skincare products as well as those products that are paraben-free skincare products. When you know what you should be looking for, the job will be much easier.

For those people that have sensitive skin, finding the right products is even more important. When you have to be careful about the skincare treatments that you use, you should take even greater care when doing your research. Dealing with chemical induced rashes and breakouts is never pleasant and you can do a great deal to eliminate these problems from your skin. Look for hypoallergenic skincare products that contain the purest ingredients that are possible. You should also look for paraben-free skincare as well to lower your risk of the dangers that this ingredient might cause.

Choosing Skincare Cosmetics

Friday, May 11th, 2012
Some people separate their skincare products into products that they use for skincare and products that they use for cosmetic purposes. There are some products that offer both. The advantage of using cosmetic products that also focus on skincare is significant. This is because many cosmetics contain harmful chemicals that can actually harm your skin. Most skincare cosmetics are conscientious of this problem, and have made product reformulations accordingly.

Finding the right skincare cosmetics will require you to choose the products that are right for your particular skin type. If you have oil skin, then you should look for a product catered to those with oily skin. If you have dry skin, then look for a product that suits your skin type. If you are looking for aging skincare products, you should look for the products that will give you the best anti wrinkle treatment and the best moisture.

Look for cosmetics that include sunscreen as a part of their ingredients. These are a wonderful way to make sure that you include sunscreen in your daily skincare regimen. Using a sunscreen every day is one of the best aging skincare routines that you can do. The sun can cause a lot of damage on your skin if you are exposing it to the harmful rays without any protection. Make sure that your skincare cosmetics have some sunscreen in them to keep your skin out of harms way.

There are also some cosmetics on the market that could cause more harm to your skin than good. These cosmetics will clog your pores and cause your skin to experience breakouts and a host of problems. Always make sure that you wash your makeup off every day. An even better approach is to look for skincare cosmetics that do more than just cover up your skin. Look for products that are designed to help your skin look great and be in the best condition that it can be in.

Aging skincare will require you to look for skincare cosmetics that will not dry out your skin. You also do not want to use a product that will leave your skin oily either. Finding the right balance can sometimes be difficult, but there are many skincare cosmetics on the market that are designed specifically for aging skin. You will find makeup and products that will enhance the appearance of your aging skin as well as provide protection and moisture for your skin.

The key to finding skincare cosmetics is to know your type of skin. You must know which products are going to work the best for your particular skin needs and requirements. If you are looking for aging skincare products, you should be sure that the products that you select were designed specifically for your aging skin. Read the ingredients and learn which ones are made for your skin type. There are many sources of information online about the different ingredients that you can try on your skin. You will have to do some experimentation to find the ones that work the best for your particular skin.

Hypoallergenic Skincare – An In Depth Analysis Of What Works And What Doesn’t

Friday, May 11th, 2012
Hypoallergenic skincare is one of the best options for sensitive skin people. The term “hypoallergenic” means that it is not likely to trigger allergic reactions. Here are some expert guidelines that can help you choose the best hypoallergenic skincare.

A lot of people are quite sensitive to synthetic chemical substances used in skincare products. These substances are not only harmful for your skin but also for your overall health. Repeated use of these products over the long term ruins even the healthiest of skin!

Parabens are very commonly used as preservatives in skincare products. They are the biggest culprits for causing allergic reactions. They affect the normal functioning of the endocrine system and are also known to cause cancer — especially breast cancer!

Dermatologists recommend use of parabens-free skincare to avoid such risk. That is one of the components of hypoallergenic skincare.

Besides parabens, some other extremely harmful chemical substances used are alcohols, dioxanes, mineral oils and fragrances. They are associated with serious problems such as depression, paralysis, kidney failure, photosensitivity and hormonal disruptions.

The best way you can safeguard yourself against such risks is by using effective parabens-free skincare products. You should look for hypoallergenic skincare products made up of natural ingredients such as Cynergy TK, Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10, Phytessence Wakame and active Manuka honey.

They are free from any side effects and work in close harmony with the skin. They boost the immunity system from within and revitalize the skin with essential nutrients such as calcium, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

They enhance the natural production of youth giving skin proteins collagen and elastin. In this way, they provide a complete freedom from wrinkles and skin aging signs. They make their skin soft, supple and radiant. They have won worldwide laurels for their amazing capabilities in anti aging and skin rejuvenation.

Visit my website to find out more of such amazing natural ingredients that you should look out for in the best hypoallergenic skincare, so that you can achieve a young, beautiful and naturally glowing skin.

Holistic Skincare Vs Non 100% Pure Skincare

Thursday, May 10th, 2012
Have you ever examined the ingredients list on your regular skin care products? Most of the skin care products that you buy contain harmful chemicals not only harm your skin, they can also have very bad impact on your health. Some of us even innocently think that they have been using the same skin care products for ages and they appear to be fine till now. The fact of low level skin damage which cause low grade irritation, dehydration and other mild damage that may accelerate skin aging in the long run, has always been over looked.

As the world is more health conscious nowadays, we drink purified water, eat organic foods, use natural products and searching for 100% pure skincare is an inevitable quest for health hazards free lifestyles. That’s why holistic skincare approach is gaining its popularity rapidly. Main stream cosmetic manufacturers are very much aware of this and use “All Natural Ingredients” as the tools to market their skin care products. The true fact is all the natural ingredients, which are derived from plants, will still need to go through processes, to extract the active ingredients. These herbal extracts are the actual supplements that work effectively in comparison with the plants where they derived from.

So, when the natural ingredients have being processed, will it still be considered as 100% completely natural? By strictest definition; a natural product should not been processed or tempered with…………

As a conclusion, there are actually NO 100% pure skin care products available in the market!

Hold on there and don’t get me wrong. That does not mean there are no difference between a chemical laden and a holistic skincare products.

Lets take a look at the commonly found chemicals in the non holistic skincare products such as Parabens which are commonly used in cosmetics to protect them against microbial growth, both to protect consumers and to maintain product integrity. When used in skin care products, parabens are absorbed directly into the blood stream rather than through the gastrointestinal tract. Some tests have indicated that parabens have caused an increase in estrogen which can possibly affect the male and female reproductive organs. Low sperm count and a decrease in testosterone are directly related to the intake of parabens. As for women, the major concern is the effect of parabens on breast cancer. Several studies have found traces of parabens in women with breast cancer.

Fragrances is another ingredient to avoid if you want a 100% pure skincare product. Of course, a well scented skin care product is very appealing on the surface. But the dangerous chemicals contain in most fragrances irritate your skin or worse still, can lead to some unknown diseases.

Dioxane is another carcinogenic contaminant of cosmetic products. Almost 50% of cosmetics containing ethoxylated surfactants were found to contain dioxane. An eye and mucous membrane irritant, primary skin irritant and central nervous system depressant. Acute exposure causes irritation, headache dizziness and narcosis which might has damaging effect on liver, kidneys and blood disorders.

On the other hand, holistic skincare approach uses All Natural Ingredients which are processed naturally. Better still, only ingredients proven to be effective in research and studies are being utilized. Some of the ingredients are being so carefully extracted, in fact the process of extracting the ingredients (especially Cynergy TK™) is so advanced that it has been patented.

Cynergy TK™ ++ Good source of keratin, the keratin extracted this way if fully biologically available to your skin. The “functional keratin” is extremely similar to the protein found in human skin, it actually gets collagen and elastin to start regrowing, which your skin starts to lose as you age.

Phytessence Wakame ++ Japanese seaweed, which is largely consumed as their diet, contain minerals, vitamins and anti oxidants, not only play a great role in moisturizing and smoothing the skin, it helps to maintain the skin’s moisture balance.

Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 or CoEnzyme Q10 ++ This is sometimes promoted as a treatment for cancer. Imagine what kind of benefit it will help in anti aging treatment. It penetrate down through seven layers of skin and extremely effective at ‘gobbling up’ free radicals in your skin, which results in quite a dramatic anti-wrinkle effect.

Having to know the benefits of holistic skincare, you must ensure that you will never lay your hand on non 100% pure skincare products again. Choosing the best holistic skin care is much easier now as you already know the benefits of 100% pure skincare products will give you the radiant, supple and smooth youthful skin, with no worry on other side effects.
