Aging Skincare Tips to Look Years Younger

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012
Have you ever bump into an old friend that you have not met for very long time and the first impression is, “Oh my god, you look the same as 5 years before! Do you ever age or grow old?”, “Is that you Mary? Time seem not to have any effect on you!”, or worst if this come from your kids; “She does not look like your classmate but more like your junior, 5 years junior!”.

You must be thinking to yourself, what has gone wrong with me…………………….. for some reasons, you age much faster than your friend.

Of course, there might be due to genetic factor which was beyond our control, but that does not mean that’s nothing you can do to slow down the aging process. You can’t defy the aging process, but you can fight the wrinkles and age spots that accompany them. There are instant methods to aging skincare such as skincare cosmetic or cosmetic surgery. We are not going to touch on cosmetic surgery here but briefly on skincare cosmetic.

There are plenty of skincare cosmetics for wrinkle remedies in the market, but I am only going to name a few. One of it is the cream that fill the crease of wrinkle or sealing it. So wrinkle will appear to be smoothen. Another wrinkle remedy is in the form of sticker. Before you retire to bed, stretch the skin where the wrinkle are and paste the sticker on it. The next morning just remove it and the wrinkle will disappear. Sadly to say, these cosmetics skincare remedies are all on temporary basis, the wrinkle will reappear when you remove the make up or, after few hours removing the sticker, wrinkle will just reform.

However, if you were to follow these steps, you will be able to keep your skin looking as young as you feel, on a long term basis.

UV ray from the sun will cause wrinkles and age spots on your skin. Always apply sunscreen with at least SPF of 15 which will effectively block the UV ray. Application of sunblock cream will be different for face and other parts of the body. Wearing long sleeve shirt or blouse, long pant or skirt and hat will even help to block the UV ray from causing damage to your skin.

Be more alert and aware of the ingredients in your anti aging skincare products. Avoid synthetic chemicals, fragrances and some irritating substances. Always choose the natural skincare products. Spend sometimes to read the label and ask question if you are not sure about the ingredients which will go the long way.

Use moisturizer for your face and lotion for hands and legs in the dry and cold environment. Maintaining the skin’s moisture balance is one of the important factor in aging skincare practices. The fact is wrinkle will look worse when compounded by dry skin.

Use the proper cleanser to clean your skin twice daily, especially the face which is more delicate. Alpha hydroxyl acids which are derived from fruit, milk or sugar has the bleaching and exfoliating effect on skin. Causing the surface skin cells to slough off, revealing newer, less damaged skin cells beneath. Always use natural toner to close the pores after cleansing and follow up with moisturizer.

During night time, it is advisable to use night cream as it is thicker. Avoid using day cream with SPF at night as added sunscreen ingredients can cause irritation or breakouts. For convenient sake, you can use face cream without SPF for both day and night and have a separate sunscreen layer applied during the day.

Watch your diet, reduce intake of oily and deep fried foods and increase the consumption of high fiber fruits and vegetables. Drink sufficient water in the day time but stop drinking water 2 hours before sleep to reduce water retention. Try to avoid staying up late putting more stress on your skin.

If you were to follow the above aging skincare tips strictly for weeks, you will notice the great difference on your physical appearance. The next time you bump into an old friend that you have met for a long time, your friend will prompt you with the same question; “You younger than before, can you share your aging skincare tips with me?” I am sure you will be more happy to do that.

Is "100% Holistic Skincare" Just a Big Con?

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012
I’m sure you’ve seen the claims. “100% holistic skincare”, or perhaps “100% pure skincare”. Are these claims a big con or is there something worthwhile behind them?

In my view there’s some powerful reasons for todays woman to use pure and holistic skincare. One of the best reasons is that the skincare and cosmetics industry has no requirement to submit their products to a regulatory or goverment body to show that the ingredients are safe. And so there are many suspect ingredients in modern skincare products. Pure skincare products are safe, and effective.

However whether you’re looking for pure skincare products, or holistic skincare products or cosmetics that are made from totally natural ingredients, you need to understand a couple of things.

Firstly, what does “natural” or “holistic” or “pure” really mean? It isn’t possible to use 100% natural ingredients in any skin care product, and in fact that shouldn’t be the goal of any cosmetics and skincare product manufacturer.

Any ingredient that is natural should be naturally occurring, for example is derived from plants. However it isn’t possible to actually use that ingredient in a skincare product unless it is processed in some way, because it needs to be taken out of the plant in which it is found and put into a form that is useable in the product, and that requires some form of processing.

However just because it has to undergo a form of processing to extract it from a plant does not imply that it is no longer effective or safe. And it also doesn’t disqualify it from being “natural” or “holistic” or “pure”. It just means that it has to be processed.

So there isn’t, in effect, a 100% pure skincare product, or 100% holistic skincare product available.

Is this an argument to justify buying any old skincare product? Absolutely not. There are some quite nasty ingredients in many of the mainstream big brand name skincare and cosmetics products on our shelves. The companies that manufacture these are not required to prove their safety before they are used in cosmetics, and many should be avoided. Parabens, Dioxane and Diethanolamine are just 3 ingredients found in various skincare and cosmetics products that are considered to be less than safe. And in some cases are suspected of causing cancer. Or skin irritation, for example.

So although there is no 100% pure skincare product on the market, there are excellent natural skincare products available. Yes they use ingredients extracted from plants by a form of extraction process, but these ingredients are tested and proven safe and, particularly, effective skincare ingredients. Something that cannot be said about many mainstream skincare products and cosmetics that so many people regularly use.

Here’s a few ingredients that are fairly considered to be natural or pure ingredients and can be found in the best “holistic” skincare products, or “pure” skincare products.

Phytessence Wakame. Extracted from a seaweed native to Japan. This seaweed is a form of kelp and is commonly found in the Japanese diet, one of the reasons the Japanese seem to have such good skin right into older age.

Cynergy TK which is a substance which is extracted from the wool of sheep, and which plays an important role in overall skin health. Cynergy TK has been shown to actually stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in our skin.

Collagen and elastin are 2 of the most important substances found in healthy skin. They are both proteins and are both involved in maintaining elasticity and firmness of skin, both responsible for producing great looking, younger looking skin. As we age our bodies produce less collagen and elastin than our skin needs to remain supple, and so any skincare product which promotes the production of collagen and elastic will work extremely well as an effective skincare product.

So in conclusion. Is the claim of 100% holistic skincare, or 100% pure skincare a con? No, not at all. There are both powerful reasons not to buy mainstream regular skincare products which you will routinely see on the shelves now, and there are also powerful reasons to buy pure skincare, or holistic skincare products. Yes they have some “processed” ingredients, but this does not detract from the fact that they are derived from safe, and effective, natural ingredients. And they work extremely well.

And whilst the companies that make the mainstream products are household names, the company that makes skincare products with such ingredients as Phytessence Wakame and Cynergy TK is not a household name at all. You’ve probably never heard of it. But you need to.

5 Easy Steps to Find the Best Men Anti-aging Skincare Products

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012
The anti-aging bug has also bitten men, which is why they need all the help they can get when it comes to finding the right men anti-aging skincare products. Men’s skincare is a topic that guys are no longer ashamed to talk about. I’m not just talking about metrosexuals, even regular Joes have the tendency to be vainer than some women. What’s so great about this gutsy shift in the male species’ behavior is that men’s skincare has opened up a whole new aisle in the supermarket: the men anti-aging skincare section.

Finding the perfect product for men’s skincare can be rather stressful, but guys, don’t fret. The last thing you need are worry lines on your forehead.

For pretty boys and handsome guys, here is a guide for you to find the best men anti-aging skincare products and keep up with your equally vain female counterparts.

– Start with Sunscreen

Skin is like a bridge that is built to stand firm but over time, external elements slowly eat away at it and causes it to weather. These external elements in skin are called free radicals. Free radicals are formed in the skin when it is exposed to environmental factors such as the sun’s rays, pollution and other elements that could damage the skin. Dermatologists believe that among these free radicals, the ultraviolet rays puts the skin at risk the most and speed up aging. Sun spots, freckles, fine lines, wrinkles and sagging are signs of aging that easily show up on the face without proper protection.

These, however, can be prevented with the regular use of sunscreen. Sunscreen is the number one product that should make it on the men anti-aging skincare list. Be sure to get sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB rays. It’s also best to get sunscreen with high SPF numbers and the kind that is compatible with your skin type.

– Know the best men’s skincare products available

Next to knowing your skin type, you need to know not only the top products that cater to men’s skincare but also their ingredients.. Start with over-the-counter products and observe how it affects your skin. Over a 3-week trial period, see if the products really work for your skin.

– Try out new products

Hopefully, you’ll be do more trying and less erring. Men anti-aging skincare  products with Retin-A have been clinically tested and proven to reduce wrinkles. If retin-A is missing from the men’s skincare aisle, you can also take products with retinol, a less powerful form of retin-A, for a test drive. Also keep an eye out for retinaldehyde, another variant of retin-A, which is an amazingly effective men anti-aging skincare ingredient.

– Start a men anti-aging skincare routine

It’s advisable to put on sunscreen daily even if the sun isn’t shining in all its glory. Dermatologists recommend that only apply small amounts of retanaldehyde to your face and neck. It’s important to apply on the neck as well because the skin in that area usually is the first to give away your age. And don’t forget the basic facial wash and moisturizer that keeps your face clean and fresh. It’s nice to get into a habit of taking care of your skin and not just curing signs of aging but preventing the symptoms from appearing as well.

– Consult a dermatologist

When you notice that your skin reacts well (or the complete opposite) consult a dermatologist. During your visit, you can also ask for a retin-A prescription if you want stronger doses of it for your skin.

Finding the most effective men anti-aging skincare product takes a lot of patience and eagerness to get only the best for your skin.

Decoding Dna Skincare Products

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012
Your skin is your most visible organ in your body. It may also be your most important organ when you consider what it does. It protects cushions, defends you from the environment, regulates your temperature, keeps out bacteria and a host of other functions too complex to describe in one article.

Today we understand more and more about the effects of the sun and the environment on skin and on the aging factors effecting skin, face, eyes, and lips. DNA skincare products are scientifically developed to work with the genetic makeup of your skin.

Research and testing has let scientists discover the single nucleotide polymorphisms in our skin to help evaluate overall skin health. Working with technology, skin product companies have a host of DNA skincare products that specifically address the aging, wrinkling, and damage to the skin caused by sun and environmental hazards.

A product like Wilma Schumann’s DNA Plus is an excellent example of a product available for the consumer looking for the best possible healthy skincare available. Products such as this use science and technology to create skincare lines for cleansing, moisturizing, acne, anti-aging, anti-wrinkling, toning, and fine tuning pigment of skin, face, lips, and eyes.

DNA skincare products are continually researched and developed. They are tested for UV exposure and their ability to protect skin under all kinds of environmental conditions. They are tested for quality, purity, effectiveness, and performance. The products are based on world leading research using information about mitochondria DNA and molecular skin structure.

DNA products can be combined for a client in special spa type salon or clinic after a skin test is performed from taking a skin cell sample from inside the mouth and sending it for analysis. The highly trained technician or physician will then make recommendations for skincare products specific to the individual’s DNA.

Other DNA based skincare products can be purchase according to a general assessment of your skins state of health, for instance anti-wrinkling for women over 40. DNA specific skincare products can be generically made for wrinkles, anti-aging, rejuvenation of old dull skin, and other specific areas an individual may want to address.

DNA skincare and companies that use DNA research will continue to provide formulations and products that can be tested for DNA protection and DNA treatment possibilities in all skin products. Technology will allow many companies to test current products to determine their effectiveness against sun and environmental damage to skin cells so improvements can be made to existing products along with the development of new product lines. All of this research is to provide better and more effective protection for our skin against sun and environmental toxins, to decrease the signs of aging, and to promote restoration of skin to a healthy state.

The growth of DNA skin products with specific and precise natural ingredients made for very specific skin damage issues stems from the consumers awareness of health and wellness. The publics continued health and wellness education and concern for beauty will be instrumental in encouraging more research, innovative development, and products that offer skin protection. Industry trends will continue to guarantee effective and beneficial product development for the consumer. And products are and will continue to be widely available online and in pharmacy and department stores carrying skincare products.

Japanese Skincare is Leading the Beauty Industry

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012
For several centuries, Japanese women have made their own skincare formulas at home. Started with natural botanicals, clays, sea vegetables, adzuki beans, rice bran and certain specific oils in order to cleanse, moisturize and revitalize the skin. They used powdered sea vegetables that draw out toxins from the skin, then follow by moisturizing skin using botanical oils such as Jojoba and Camellia oil and nourish the skin with apple cider vinegar, herbal teas, extracts and nutritive oils.

When Japanese women, at a quick instant, the geisha Japanese girl look might appear in our mind, but the fact that most Japanese women have radiant, supple, smooth and fair skin are the real attraction. The “porcelain look” skin which most Japanese women inherit from their ancestor is the living proof and need no further explanation. As a whole, Japanese women take their skin very seriously, not only from the aspect of skincare practices, but their healthy diet as well.

Japanese nation are known to consume a high fiber diet which consists mainly of rice, fish, vegetables, since it has been shown to be beneficial for both our colon and our digestive system. Latest finding is confirming that high fiber diet also benefit the heart. Among the world population, the Japanese nation has fewer weight fluctuations than the American people and, as a result, this will cause less stress on their skin.

If we were to translate the use of skincare formulas and healthy diet of Japanese in scientific term, rice bran contains various vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, fiber and most importantly; coenzyme Q10. As healthy food, it treats congestive heart failure and help in breast cancer treatment. As in skincare, it cleanse and moisturize the skin.

Another important diet source is adzuki bean, not only they are high in protein and fiber, but also low in fat as in food. When it is grinded into powder and add into skin care formulas, it becomes an effective cleanser and exfoliator which removes dead skin or cells.

Seaweed is known to be the synonym of Japanese food. They have it in the soup, sushi wrapper, snacks and other dishes as well. Traditionally, seeweed is being processed into dry powder and mixed into the homemade skin care formulas. The scientific name; Phytessence Wakame, contain minerals, vitamins and anti oxidants, not only play a great role in moisturizing and smoothing the skin, it helps to maintain the skin’s moisture balance.

Extracts from fruits, also one of the important ingredient in Japanese skincare formulas. Camellia oil is derived from the seeds of the fruit grown on evergreen trees in Japan. Its excellent moisturizing properties and has been used by Japanese women since the old days. You can find it present in shampoos, cosmetics, and skin care formulas.

As the Japan skincare industry is a few years ahead of others, it is very important that when come to choosing the right skincare products, we must ensure it is 100% pure skincare. Skincare products that contain natural ingredients such as Phytessence Wakame, coenzyme Q10, adzuki bean or Camellia oil, it is the Japanese Skincare Formulas which has been proven for centuries.

Natural Skincare Products Are All Around You

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012
The natural nutrients of mother earth can easily be used to ensure that you only put ingredients on that are found around us (albeit for some you might have to travel a little if you truly want to gather your own!).

Typical ingredients of natural skincare products are root, leaf, seed and flower extracts. As well as honeys, milks and spring waters too.

In some cases you can go even further and take your natural instincts to an even greater level, by using organic ingredients, which have the added benefit of not being produced using any form of chemicals.

How Old Is Natural Skin Care?

How old would you like? From the earliest records and beyond, natural ingredients have been used (not just on the skin incidentally, but in medicine too).

As soon as civilizations were evolving, simple, natural skincare products were being used as man’s curiosity of the world around triggered experimentation.

If we want to find the earliest records and information about the evolution of natural skincare products, there is much evidence in the civilizations of the Pharoahs, several thousand years before the birth of Christ.

Over those thousands of years, many new ingredients have been found, yet many have stayed the same – deeply rooted sometimes in old wives tales maybe – yet having stood the test of time in the natural skincare products we use right to this very day.

How remarkable is that – the natural ingredients we use in the modern world we live in, rub shoulders with the most technologically advanced potions that manufacturers spend their billions developing!

Modern Day Natural Skincare Products

We live in a high-tech computerized world, where, in a sizable sector of the market, there is a growing fatigue with the new and the artificially manufactured. Of course there will always be a desire for the newest technology, even where the skin is concerned. Have you not seen the adverts with the ‘best ever’ wrinkle removers, with compelling messages from B-list actresses?

Many women especially, have decided to eschew this extravagance. In recent years there has been a significant renaissance of natural skincare products. In fact this is both good and not so good.

Large manufacturers and retailers have grasped the opportunity and now we have a hybrid product – made from natural ingredients, yet manufactured using the most modern equipment and manufacturing capability. Perhaps not so good if you are a purist, for the rest of us, nature at a great price!

Is this a good thing? Well, if you want natural skincare products that are carefully prepared as a boutique-type product, you may not want the big business ranges off their shelves.

You might invest heavily in the purest and the most natural, even in the way your personalized natural skincare products are prepared.

However, if more widely available natural skincare products meet the demanding standards of your personal requirements, then feel free to take advantage of their availability, safe in the knowledge that you are using a combination of nature, as well as efficient production methods.

Maybe your skin will thank you for it!

How Do You Find the Best Natural Skincare Products Available?

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012
Every woman starts to become interested in skincare as she ages and sees those fine lines forming around her eyes and mouth. Those wrinkles and sagging skin that just doesn’t glow like it used to. And many women start to realise that natural skincare products are by far the best skincare products. But how do you find the best natural skincare products?

However the first question to ask is why would you want to use natural skincare products? What does “natural” mean and what is the difference between “natural” skincare products and other skincare products?

There is no formal definition of “natural” when it comes to skincare and anti aging products. However to me “natural” means “safe” skincare products.

Safe? Aren’t all skincare products safe? Why would they be unsafe?

Sadly the answer is that not all skincare products and anti aging products (or cosmetics or beauty products for that matter) are safe. It is gradually becoming known that many skincare and anti aging products and cosmetics, perfumes, body care and beauty products contain ingredients that may in fact be damaging to your skin or even your health. I first became aware of this when my young daughter had a terrible skin reaction to her first use of cosmetics when she had her first ballet concert, and have been interested in this ever since.

Many ingredients that go into our skincare products and cosmetics in the US are banned in other countries, like European countries. But here it’s perfectly legal to use suspect ingredients in our skincare and anti aging products and the FDA doesn’t regulate against this. The problem is so bad that there are whole organizations set up to try and foster the manufacture of safe skincare products and cosmetics.

I’ll give you an example. A recent study found lead in over 50% of big brand lipsticks tested. Scary isn’t it?

So many people are turning to natural skincare products and cosmetics to find safe products. And of course they want to find the best natural skincare products because the companies that make skincare products from all natural, and safe, ingredients, aren’t the big brand name companies.

Most companies that make natural skincare products have signed the “Compact for Safe Cosmetics” to evidence their commitment to producing safe products. And these natural skincare products are usually much more effective than their less safe but more well known cousins which you see advertised on TV and on the shelves of the stores.

That’s because the companies that make the best natural skincare products are small niche companies. They can’t compete on marketing budget, so they compete on product quality. To survive they need to produce top shelf products so that customers come back over and over again. So they don’t need to spend up big on TV advertising.

There are excellent natural skincare products made up into a complete scientific skincare system that are available to buy and are safe to use, and extremely effective. They aren’t made by the big name skincare companies or cosmetics companies, but if you manage to find them they are cost comparable or even cheaper than the big brands, and safe to use.

Ahh, but where do you find them? Find out more on my website.

Confidential Information On Hypoallergenic Skincare That Only The Experts Know Exist

Monday, March 19th, 2012
It might come as a big surprise to you, but the fact is that just because a product is advertised as “hypoallergenic skincare” it doesn’t mean that it is free of allergens. Parabens-free skincare products might be free of parabens, but they may contain other artificial preservatives, which might be even more dangerous.

Fragrances are among the most common allergens in skincare products. They might refer to more than 4000 types of synthetic chemicals. Cosmetic companies are not required to reveal the chemicals they use to create the fragrances. They take an unfair advantage of this by using synthetic chemicals which are hazardous to our health, just for the sake of maximising their profits.

So even if you choose a certain hypoallergenic skincare product which has the word “fragrance” on the label, you are still exposing yourself to the wrath of toxic chemicals!

Another example is of phenoxyethanol. It is a preservative used in some of the parabens-free skincare products. It has a toxic effect and should not be used around the eyes, mouth or lips. It is an allergen and causes an adverse impact to the brain and the central nervous system. The EU has classified it as an irritant.

Thus, you can see that even parabens-free skincare are not necessarily more secure than products containing parabens. In fact, all forms of artificial preservatives pose a health hazard in more or less degree.

The only preservatives that can be called safe in hypoallergenic skincare are natural vitamin E and grape seed extract. They play an effective role in conserving cold pressed vegetable oils and other botanical extracts included in herbal products.

So, it’s not just parabens-free skincare products that you need, but you need hypoallergenic skincare products free of all artificial and synthetic chemical substances such as fragrances, alcohols, dioxanes and mineral oils.

You should look for products with natural ingredients and powerful antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10. Its nano emulsion version called Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 penetrates seven layers deep into the skin and neutralizes free radicals, which are the prime cause of skin aging.

Also look for natural plant based moisturizing oils such as jojoba oil, grape seed oil and avocado oil. There composition is similar to the sebum (natural oils) present in our skin. They are assimilated very easily and rejuvenate the skin with vital nutrients like vitamins, calcium, antioxidants and minerals. They make the skin soft, supple and smooth complexioned.

Visit my website to find out more of such amazing natural ingredients that you should look out for the best hypoallergenic skincare, so that you can achieve a beautiful, young and naturally glowing skin.

Importance of Health Vitamins

Monday, March 19th, 2012

Vitamins are among the micro-nutrients i.e. the ones required in small amounts. However, they play a very important role in the body. Without them the different organs and systems of our body would not function properly. This would give rise to several disorders. Therefore, it is very important that our body get the required amount of health vitamins.

These different vitamins play different roles in our body. For example, vitamin a is required for keeping our eyes and skin in a good condition. Vitamin B has a role in conversion of glucose in energy, which is so crucial for our body. Like this every vitamin is required one or more specific purposes which cannot be done in their absence.

However, many people face the deficiency of health vitamins. This is because they are present in small amounts in the different food sources. Moreover, most people do not consume ample amount of food sources for health vitamins. The reason for this may be that most favorite recipes do not involve the use such food sources. For example, the better sources of vitamins fruits vegetables, etc. However, people do not quite prefer these foods.

All vitamins are required by any person whatever age he may be. Moreover, all of them are required by both men and women. However, there is some difference, in the amount of vitamins, that these different types of people require. For example, the women health vitamins for the ones who are planning to be pregnant include folic acid and vitamin A. It reduces the chances of birth defects or complications like premature birth, etc. however when they get pregnant they need to increase their over all intake of vitamins and other nutrients to compensate for the ones used by the growing baby. Vitamin E is additionally important to maintain the health the soft skin of women.

Health vitamins are very important for children. They are required for the several processes occurring in the body of the children during growth. Therefore for proper growth of children it is quite crucial that you take care to provide them al the vitamins and nutrients that their body requires. On the other hand, during old age the ability of our body to absorb vitamins from food reduces. So, old people are advised to take additional supplements of vitamins.

Today due to the awareness about role of health vitamins people have started taking care that they get adequate amount of vitamins. The natural health vitamins i.e. the no ones derived from the natural food sources are the ideal sources. This is because these food sources also provide you the other nutrients as well. However, the artificial vitamin sources like supplements are important as well. These supplements are available in different forms. Generally, they are available as tablets.
